Block Party tickets sold out, more seating made available

As of Tuesday night, tickets to University Union’s Block Party had sold out in record time, so the organization is opening up more seating in the Carrier Dome.

UU originally allotted 9,800 tickets for Block Party, but since those tickets sold out so quickly, it is opening up a third tier of seating in the Carrier Dome to allow for an additional 3,000 tickets to be sold, according to an email from UU.

The same ticket prices will apply for these additional seats — $25 for Syracuse University and State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry students and $30 for the general public. These additional tickets will be available to purchase on Ticketmaster beginning at 10 a.m. on Wednesday.

DJ duo The Chainsmokers and Chicago-based hip-hop artist Chance The Rapper will co-headline this year’s Block Party on April 29. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Carrier Dome.
