Syracuse will face 5 of the top 7 teams in the country in 2016

Brandon Mullins and Syracuse will play Albany and a host of other highly ranked teams in 2016.

Syracuse’s schedule was released on Tuesday afternoon and the Orange will face five of the top seven teams in Inside Lacrosse’s preseason poll. SU is ranked eighth.

Syracuse’s season opens on Feb. 13 at home against Siena at 1 p.m. SU then plays two more home nonconference games the following two weekends before beginning Atlantic Coast Conference play. Syracuse hosts No. 11 Albany on Feb. 21 and Army on Feb. 28.

The Orange then plays the toughest stretch of its season at No. 7 Virginia (March 4), home against St. John’s (March 12), at No. 6 Johns Hopkins (March 19), at No. 3 Duke (March 27) and home against No. 1 Notre Dame (April 2).

Syracuse then visits Hobart on April 5, plays at Cornell on April 12, and hosts No. 5 North Carolina on April 16 and Binghamton on April 20.

The ACC tournament is slated for April 29-May 1 in Kennesaw, Georgia.



SU’s final regular-season game is on May 7 against Colgate in the Carrier Dome.

April 20 — vs. Binghamton, Carrier Dome, 7 p.m.
