The Final Word: Syracuse cruises to 70-54 win over Colgate

On Wednesday night in the Carrier Dome, Syracuse (1-1, 0-1 Atlantic Coast) got its first win of the season, defeating Colgate (1-2) 70-54.

Center Bourama Sidibe had a career night, recording 12 points and 14 rebounds on 6-for-6 shooting. Joe Girard III came off the bench and sparked Syracuse with his playmaking, recording four assists in 19 minutes. After the game, SU head coach Jim Boeheim said Girard will be the Orange’s starting point guard going forward.
