Syracuse bolstered an already top-10 recruiting class with the addition of Veronika Vorackova, per a SU Athletics release Tuesday.

Vorackova was recently named Most Valuable Player of Division B at the recently completed Under-20 European Championships. She averaged 11.0 points, 7.6 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game to lead the Czech Republic to a gold medal.

At 2017 FIBA EuroBasket Women, Vorackova played with the Czech Republic senior national team. She was the youngest player in that tournament. Vorackova has also competed at the U16 and U18 levels for her country. She played club basketball for USK Praha in the Czech Republic.

SU’s incoming recruiting class already featured a McDonald’s All-American in Emily Engstler and another U20 national team player in French guard Kadiatou Sissoko. Now, along with two other commits, Hillsman adds the 19-year-old Vorackova to a team that has made the NCAA tournament six years running and returns all five of its starters.
