Syracuse has an early date with No. 2 Albany in the Carrier Dome on Feb. 17.

Syracuse released its complete 2018 season schedule Thursday afternoon. The Orange, ranked No. 9 in the Inside Lacrosse Face-Off Yearbook Top 20, returns two of its top three scorers and 17 players that saw action in at least 10 games last season.

SU finished 13-3 in 2017, winning all four of its regular season Atlantic Coast Conference games before a first-round exit in the ACC tournament. The Orange fell in the second round of the NCAA Tournament to Towson.

Syracuse will face five of Inside Lacrosse’s top seven teams including top-ranked Duke and No. 2 Albany, and nine ranked opponents altogether.

All four of Syracuse’s ACC opponents are ranked inside the top 16: No. 1 Duke, No. 6 Notre Dame, No. 10 North Carolina and No. 16 Virginia. The Orange will open conference play with two March road games, first against UVA before traveling to Durham, North Carolina, to face the Blue Devils. UND and UNC will both travel to the Carrier Dome. SU will also play host to longtime rival and No. 11 Johns Hopkins for the first time since 2015.

Head coach John Desko enters his 20th season at the helm for Syracuse, which just graduated its first class without a Final Four appearance since 1979, when Desko was a senior defender.

The Orange will open the 2018 season against Binghamton on Feb. 10 inside the Carrier Dome. SU downed the Bearcats 9-8 last season.
