Amba Etta-Tawo had a career day in his Syracuse debut. He earned ACC receiver of the week honors for his efforts.

Syracuse redshirt senior Amba Etta-Tawo, who transferred from Maryland to play at SU this season, was named the Atlantic Coast Conference receiver of the week. Etta-Tawo caught 12 passes for 210 yards — both career highs — and a touchdown in a 33-7 win over Colgate.

His highlight reel included a 40-yard acrobatic catch along the sideline where he managed to land one foot in bounds with a defender draped all over him. He had combined for just 438 receiving yards in his last two seasons — 222 in 2014 and 216 in 2015.

Syracuse’s next game is against Louisville at 8 p.m. on Friday in the Carrier Dome.
