Class of 2016 Ohio linebacker Zack Lesko commits to Syracuse as preferred walk-on

Zack Lesko, an outside linebacker from Solon (Ohio) High School, announced via Twitter on Wednesday night that he has committed to Syracuse.

Lesko, a member of the Class of 2016, is not listed on major recruiting sites, but his Hudl profile lists him as 6 feet 1 inch, 212 pounds. On the same profile, his 40-yard dash time is 4.67 seconds.His relationship with Syracuse’s current coaching staff extends back to the time that current SU head coach Dino Babers coached at Bowling Green. Lesko also played wide receiver in high school.



Syracuse has two other linebacker commits in the Class of 2016, Andrew Armstrong and Tim Walton, and both have signed national letters of intent. Syracuse carries 11 other linebackers on its roster. The position group is led by junior Zaire Franklin, who last season became the fourth sophomore captain in program history.
