Frank Howard won't play for the second straight game when Syracuse hosts Clemson on Tuesday.

Frank Howard, who missed Syracuse’s game against Miami on Saturday with an illness, won’t suit up again for Syracuse against Clemson on Tuesday, per The Post-Standard.

Howard did not practice on Monday according to The Post-Standard, and also said that he should be back “within a week or two.” Syracuse interim head coach Mike Hopkins said on Monday’s Atlantic Coast Conference coaches teleconference that Howard was “day-to-day”.

Without Howard, Syracuse will have just starter Michael Gbinije and reserve Kaleb Joseph to man the point guard position. However, shooting guard Trevor Cooney has the ability to bring the ball up the court and has occasionally done that this season.

Howard had recorded 16 assists and just 3 turnovers this season. He had been averaging 11.8 minutes per game in the seven contests under Hopkins.
