Syracuse football recruiting: Isaiah McDuffie reportedly becomes 2nd commit for 2017

Class of 2017 athlete Isaiah McDuffie has verbally committed to Syracuse, per Scout.com. McDuffie is listed as an outside linebacker on 247Sports.com.

The 6-foot-2, 205-pound Bennett (New York) High School product is the second member of the Orange’s 2017 class. He also had offers from UConn, Penn State and Washington, according to Scout.

Somerset Academy Charter (Florida) High School wide receiver Daewood Davis committed three weeks ago and is SU’s only other member of 2017.

In Syracuse’s last two recruiting classes, the Orange did not receive a single verbal commitment until the spring of the players’ junior year. Now, SU has two for 2017 before their junior years have even started.
