Syracuse Police are investigating a pair of stabbings, one of which happened on Marshall Street early Saturday morning.

One stabbing occurred at 3:05 a.m. Saturday in the 100 block of Marshall Street, which is just across the street from the Syracuse University campus.

When Syracuse Police Department officers arrived at the scene after receiving a report of a stabbing, they found a 25-year-old man suffering from multiple stab wounds to his hands, arms and head, according to a release from the Syracuse Police Department. The victim was not able to tell the officers at the scene what had happened. He was then taken to Upstate University Hospital for treatment of his injuries, according to the release.

While SPD was investigating the stabbing, a second stabbing victim, a 42-year-old man, walked into Upstate University Hospital. The man also suffered from multiple stab wounds to his arms, legs and head. Through the investigation, it was determined that he was also likely stabbed on Marshall Street, according to the release.

Both victims are expected to survive their injuries. According to the release, the exact circumstances surrounding the stabbings are still being investigated and there is currently no suspect information.

Lieutenant Eric Carr said in an email he was not able to add much more information than what is contained in the release, except that neither victim is a Syracuse University student nor do they appear to have any affiliation with the university.
