Students should apply for NYPIRG board of directors position

New York’s largest student-directed advocacy organization, the New York Public Interest Research Group, will be holding elections for its board of directors on Dec. 3, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Life Sciences Complex and Dec. 4, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Ernie Davis Dining Hall and 4:30–6:30 p.m. in Brockway Dining Hall.

NYPIRG works on a variety of grassroots campaigns including higher education accessibility and affordability, environmental protection, voter empowerment, government reform, hunger and homelessness outreach and consumer protection.

NYPIRG’s student board of directors represents our 17 college campus chapters across the state. Positions on the board of directors are open to Syracuse University and State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry undergraduates. Letters of intent are due on Dec. 2 by 5 p.m. and should be sent to Brittania Smead at [email protected].
