Games against seven teams that made last year’s NCAA tournament highlight the 2014 Syracuse men’s soccer schedule, which was released by SU head coach Ian McIntyre on Tuesday.

The Orange’s top home games include matches against defending national champion Notre Dame (Sept. 13) and 2013 semifinalist Virginia (Sept. 27), while Atlantic Coast Conference opponents Wake Forest (Oct. 11) and Boston College (Nov. 1) will also pay visits to SU Soccer Stadium.

SU’s away schedule is highlighted by tilts against nonconference opponents St. John’s (Sept. 6) and Connecticut (Oct.14). The Orange will also travel to conference rivals Clemson (Sept. 20), Virginia Tech (Oct. 4), Louisville (Oct. 17) and North Carolina State (Oct. 25).

In total, Syracuse will play 18 games, 10 at home and eight away. After narrowly missing out on the ACC tournament last year, SU will look to qualify for the 2014 tournament, which will be held at campus sites for the first two rounds, and at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C. for the semifinals and finals.
