Syracuse attack Daniello out of hospital, recovering following head injury

Syracuse lacrosse player Mike Daniello has left the hospital and is recovering at home following a serious head injury, a team spokesperson said Friday.

The spokesperson also said Daniello’s playing status for the upcoming season is uncertain.

The attack transferred from Johns Hopkins in early July 2012, where he played eight games and picked up one ground ball during his freshman season.

Fans and members of the lacrosse community have expressed support for Daniello on Twitter, and started using the hashtag #prayformikey.

Daniello’s brother Chris helped SU to back-to-back national titles in 2008 and 2009.
