The State University of New York College of Environmental Sciences and Forestry  will be canceling classes starting at 2 p.m. on Monday until 11 a.m. Tuesday due to Hurricane Sandy, said Claire Dunn, directors of communications at SUNY-ESF.

Offices at SUNY-ESF will operate with limited staff after 3 p.m. on Monday and reopen at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Syracuse University announced on Monday morning that classes would be canceled after 1:40 p.m. on Monday and all of Tuesday.

Campus police remain available on the SUNY-ESF campus. There are no changes to SUNY-ESF residence halls and dining halls, part of SU campus services, will remain open, Dunn said.

Depending on weather and infrastructure conditions, further class cancellations are possible. Students are advised to monitor local news and check university email accounts.
