Chinonso Obokoh will reportedly transfer from Syracuse after graduating from SU in May.

Syracuse center Chinonso Obokoh will transfer from SU, according to Syracuse.com. He will have one year left of eligibility after graduating in May one year ahead of his class.

As a grad transfer, Obokoh would not have to sit out a year after transferring. He didn’t appear in any games during his freshman season and has played sparingly over the past two. A year of eligibility was taken away from him as a freshman so after playing in just two seasons, he only has one left.

Obokoh appeared in 11 games this past season, scored 12 points and recorded 18 rebounds. The best game of his career came on Dec. 22, 2015 against Montana State when he scored 11 points and grabbed six rebounds in 12 minutes of play.

The departure of Obokoh marks the third SU player to leave the team with eligibility remaining since the season ended. Obokoh joins point guard Kaleb Joseph and walk-on guard Christian White.

Entering the 2016-17 season, SU returns centers Dajuan Coleman, a senior, and sophomore transfer Paschal Chukwu.
