DPS investigates burglary on 300 block of Comstock Avenue

Syracuse Police Department officers were at the scene shortly after midnight.

A Syracuse University student’s apartment on the 300 block of Comstock Avenue was robbed Saturday night.

The student told police three men were in her apartment. One of the suspects pushed her aside while fleeing the apartment, according to a Department of Public Safety alert sent to the campus community. Another suspect claimed he had a weapon, but it was never displayed. Her car keys and laptop were reportedly stolen, according to scanner reports. 

The three suspects were described as being in the mid-teens, according to DPS. The burglary was reported to DPS around 10:26 p.m. DPS and the Syracuse Police Department were at the scene just after midnight. Officers at the scene declined to comment.

Several apartments on the 200 block of Comstock Avenue have been burglarized during the fall semester. Suspects have been entering through unlocked doors and windows, according to DPS.
