3-star offensive lineman Conway verbally commits to Syracuse’s Class of 2015

Three-star offensive lineman Cody Conway verbally committed to Syracuse on Friday afternoon, Scout.com reported. He is the seventh verbal pledge in the Orange’s Class of 2015.

Conway is a junior at Plainfield North High School in Plainfield, Ill. He’s listed as 6 feet, 6 inches and 280 pounds on Scout.com.

He joined offensive linemen Sam Clausman and Colin Byrne, who also verbally committed to SU on Friday. He is the Orange’s first recruit of the class from the Midwest, as the previous six members of the Class of 2015 have been from Florida and New York.

Conway also received interest from Illinois, Rutgers, Nevada and Buffalo. In addition to Clausman and Byrne, he joins cornerbacks Davante Davis and Gerald Robinson and running backs Tyrone Perkins and Jordan Fredericks in the Orange’s Class of 2015.
