Syracuse, pictured against Albany, rose in the Inside Lacrosse poll after nearly falling out of the top-20 the week prior.

Syracuse (1-1) rose to No. 17 in Inside Lacrosse top-20 rankings on Monday following a 13-5 defeat of then-No. 15 Albany on Saturday.

The three-spot climb from No. 20 comes a week after the Orange plummeted 10 spots following their 12-9 loss to Colgate in their opener.

Around the Atlantic Coast Conference, every team is ranked. Duke is at No. 5, followed by No. 8 Notre Dame, No. 12 Virginia and No. 14 North Carolina. There’s also a new No. 1, Loyola, after Yale lost to Villanova over the weekend, pushing the Bulldogs out of the top spot.

SU returns to the Carrier Dome this Sunday for a 4 p.m. faceoff with No. 13 Army (2-0).
