Vice President for Research John Liu will chair the search committee.

Syracuse University has formed a search committee to find a new dean for the College of Engineering and Computer Science, according to a Friday SU News release.

The university announced last December that Teresa Dahlberg, the college’s current dean, will take a position as vice chancellor and provost at Texas Christian University. Her job at TCU begins March 1, but SU has not announced when Dahlberg’s deanship ends.

Vice President for Research John Liu will chair the committee, per the release. Dean of University College Michael Frasciello and Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences Karin Ruhlandt are both members of the committee. David Edelstein, a Board of Trustees member and chair of the ECS Leadership Council, will also serve on the committee.

Other members include several faculty members from various departments of the College of Engineering and Computer Science, as well as a graduate and undergraduate student, according to the release.

Executive search firm Witt/Kieffer was hired to work with the search committee.
