Syracuse's five-point halftime lead was evaporated in a 75-65 loss.

The last time Syracuse and No. 1 Duke faced off, Tyus Battle’s 32 points led the Orange to a 95-91 overtime victory over the Blue Devils. Since then, both teams have shined — Duke rose back to No. 1 after the loss and SU eclipsed nine Atlantic Coast Conference victories.

On Saturday, Duke was without Zion Williamson, the projected first overall pick in 2019’s NBA Draft. In the first 20 minutes, the Orange won the offensive glass, but their five-point halftime lead quickly dwindled. In result, Syracuse lost, 75-65, behind 50 combined points from RJ Barrett and Alex O’Connell.

See what our beat writers had to say about Syracuse’s 10-point loss with special guest, Yahoo! Sports’ Pete Thamel.
