Former Big East rivals Syracuse and Georgetown will meet for the fourth-straight season Saturday, Dec. 8, in the Carrier Dome, per an SU Athletics release. It will be the 94th all-time meeting between the teams.

Last season, Syracuse played the Hoyas in Washington, D.C., and emerged with an 86-79 win in overtime. Three Orange players scored in double-figures: Tyus Battle (29 points), Oshae Brissett (25) and Frank Howard (19). The win broke off Syracuse’s two-game losing skid to the Hoyas.

The 2018-19 season will be Patrick Ewing’s second at the helm of his alma mater after a 15-15 record in year one. The top returner for Georgetown is center Jessie Govan, who averaged a double-double as a junior with 17.9 points and 10.0 rebounds per game.

Syracuse leads the all-time series with the Hoyas, 50-43. The first meeting was back in 1930, when SU won, 40-18.
