Dino Babers lost his second linebacker in as many days after Ja'Qurius Smith decommitted yesterday.

Redshirt sophomore linebacker Troy Henderson has decided to transfer from Syracuse, he announced Wednesday afternoon on Twitter.

Henderson will seek immediate eligibility as a graduate transfer after graduating early from SU with two years of eligibility remaining.

After redshirting his freshman year, Henderson appeared in just six games over the next two seasons for the Orange. He recorded five tackles and recovered a fumble in 2016 and didn’t record a stat in this past campaign, only appearing in one contest.

Henderson’s decision comes after Kayton Samuels announced that he would seek to graduate transfer on Dec. 9. It also comes a day after class of 2018 linebacker Ja’Qurius Smith decommitted from the Orange, making Henderson the second linebacker the Orange lost in as many days.
