Chancellor Kent Syverud delivered a similar address last January, also in the Life Sciences Complex.

Chancellor Kent Syverud on Tuesday will deliver a speech updating the Syracuse University campus community on several major university initiatives, SU confirmed Thursday.

Syverud’s speech, scheduled to start at 3:45 p.m. in the Life Sciences Complex’s Milton Atrium, will essentially serve as a “State of the University” update. The university announced Syverud’s speech in a campus-wide email sent Thursday afternoon.

The chancellor gave a similar speech last January. James Franco, the current president of SU’s Student Association, will also speak during Tuesday’s event. An informal reception will be held after Syverud’s speech, according to the email.
