Anderson .Paak will headline second Bandersnatch concert

Anderson .Paak will take the Schine Underground stage with hip-hop beats on March 23.

Hip-hop artist Anderson .Paak will headline the second concert of the University Union Bandersnatch Series, according to a UU press release.

Along with opening act The Free Nationals, .Paak will perform on March 23 in Schine Underground at 8:00 p.m. Tickets will be on sale for $5 anyone with an SU/ESF ID at the Schine Box Office on Wednesday at 11 a.m.

.Paak first started his career in Los Angeles with an R&B vibe, going by the name Breezy Lovejoy. He released his first LP as Breezy in 2012 before taking on a hip-hop/funk vibe and new name. In 2014 as his current musical persona, Anderson released another LP titled “Venice.” He’s been featured on albums from Dr. Dre, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and former Juice Jam artist Schoolboy Q.

In January, .Paak released his latest album “Malibu.” The album was included in Pitchfork’s Best New Music of January 2016, and featured popular tracks such as “Room in Here” and “Am I Wrong.” Right now, .Paak is featured on Apple Music’s New Artist Spotlight.

.Paak’s Bandersnatch performance comes before several tour dates across the United States and Mexico. He, along with The Free Nationals, will also be performing at SxSW in March and Coachella in April.
