Former Syracuse football player Jay Bromley will reportedly not be arrested following rape accusation

Jay Bromley (96) played for Syracuse from 2010-13. He was reportedly accused of raping a woman at a New York City hotel, but will not be arrested.

Former Syracuse defensive tackle Jay Bromley, who was reportedly accused of trying to rape a woman at a New York City hotel on Saturday, will not be charged, according to the New York Daily News.

The Daily News also reported that Bromley’s accuser told police she consented to oral sex, but that “something took place that she didn’t want to take place.” When Bromley left the hotel, the woman was reportedly on the hood of his car.

Bromley reportedly met the woman on Instagram and asked her to meet him at the Hyatt Herald Square Hotel.

Now a New York Giants defensive tackle, Bromley played in all 16 games in the 2015 NFL season and started four. He played for Syracuse from 2010-13. The Giants selected Bromley in the third round of the 2014 NFL Draft.
