Syracuse rises to No. 20 in the AP Poll after three-win week

Syracuse point guard Alexis Peterson and the Orange have risen three spots in the Associated Press Top 25 poll. SU is now ranked 20th.
Syracuse (4-1) moved up three spots to No. 20 in the Associated Press Top 25 poll Monday after coming off a 3-0 week in which it beat Morgan State, 90-61, Washington, 66-62, and Fordham, 76-54.
The latter two games were part of the South Point Shootout in Las Vegas.
SU will face its second top-five opponent of the season when it heads to College Park, Maryland on Wednesday to play No. 5 Maryland at 7 p.m. as part of the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.
The Orange nearly upset then-No. 4 Tennessee on Nov. 20, but lost, 57-55.
