Workin’ like a dog

The first half of Friday night’s win against Lehigh showed a glimpse of what Syracuse can do. On Tuesday, the Orange puts together a more complete performance against its A-10 foe from somewhere, New York. It’s Syracuse that starts to stamp its place on the map, not St. Bonaventure.

Catch me if you can

Syracuse, sticking true to the pace it set against Lehigh, will run St. Bonaventure out of the gym on Tuesday night. The Orange frontcourt doesn’t make significant strides against the Bonnies, but does benefit from playing a team that doesn’t play anyone taller than 6 feet, 8 inches. When it’s all said and done, Trevor Cooney is leaving his follow through up at half court and the Carrier Dome crowd is showering SU’s shooters with cheers. An abundance of 3s works this time, but stay tuned.

Bon fire

Former Bonnie and current Orlando Magic forward Andrew Nicholson might be the only thing that could save St. Bonaventure, as a lack of length will allow a shallow Orange frontcourt to stay afloat and out of foul trouble. The SU zone puts the visitors offense up in flames, and Syracuse inches into Taco Time as the Bonnies fall short of 50.
