Strong arm robbery attempted at South Campus Express in Goldstein Student Center

Several DPS cars were parked outside of the Goldstein Student Center on South Campus late Friday night after there was an attempted strong arm robbery at the South Campus Express inside.
There was an attempted strong arm robbery Friday night at South Campus Express in the Goldstein Student Center, according to an email sent to students from the Department of Public Safety.
A 5-foot-6 man wearing a ski mask and gloves demanded an employee open the cash register around 10 p.m. The suspect didn’t display a weapon, no one was injured and no property was taken, according to the email.
A DPS officer at the scene declined to comment, but said the case would be handed over to the Syracuse Police Department.
