Syracuse football recruiting: Class of 2016 offensive tackle Noel Brouse verbally commits to Syracuse

Parkland (Pennsylvania) High School offensive tackle Noel Brouse has verbally committed to Syracuse, he announced via  Twitter on Thursday afternoon. He becomes the Orange’s eighth member overall in the Class of 2016 and fourth in the last nine days.

Brouse isn’t ranked by Scout.com and stands at 6 feet 5 inches and 260 pounds, per the site. He chose SU over offers from Yale, Old Dominion and Colgate, among others. He’s Syracuse’s fifth offensive commit in the class after the last two came on the defensive side of the ball. Class of 2015 defensive end pledge Brandon Ginnetti is now expected to sign in August, per Syracuse.com, and will be part of the Class of 2016.

The other members of Syracuse’s Class of 2016 include safeties Will Harper and Scoop Bradshaw, quarterback Rex Culpepper, wide receiver Sadiq Palmer, offensive tackle Cam DeGeorge and running back Robert Washington.

Brouse is the second pledge not to be given a star ranking and committed after taking an unofficial visit to SU on Wednesday.
