Syracuse women’s basketball assistant coach Kelley Gibson has taken on the same position at Rutgers, per her Twitter bio.

Gibson spent five seasons with the Orange and served as the team’s recruiting coordinator for part of that time.

SU’s recruiting Class of 2012 was ranked No. 6 in the country by HoopGurlz and included McDonald’s All-Americans Britney Sykes and Brianna Butler. Sykes led Syracuse in scoring in 2013-14 but only played in three games last season due to two torn ACL injuries.

The Class of 2013 was ranked No. 10 by HoopGurlz and included Alexis Peterson and Briana Day, the Orange’s leading scorer and rebounder, respectively, this past season.

Gibson played in the WNBA, which she said helped give her credibility as an assistant coach. She spent four years with the Houston Comets which included a championship in her rookie season in 2000.
