The Sigma Nu chapter of Phi Gamma Delta, or FIJI, is proud to announce our endorsement of Aysha Seedat and Jane Hong as the presidential and vice presidential candidates of the Student Association 59th Session. Seedat came and spoke at our fraternity chapter meeting, and after learning about the duo’s campaign platform, we believe that they are the best possible candidates in this election.

The platform of support and safety encompasses sexual assault issues, improved integration for transfer and international students, increased dialogue between students and administration and medical amnesty for all students. These objectives all target different, but important, aspects of the student experience at Syracuse University. Beyond all else, Seedat and Hong want to equip students to succeed both academically and socially. As a fraternity, we strongly believe in achieving a balance between school and the other aspects of student life, and we are happy to see a campaign that reflects opportunities for students to become more involved in their university, as well as stay safe and have fun.
