3-star quarterback Edouard to reportedly attend junior college after saying he’d arrive at Syracuse in January

Three-star quarterback Alin Edouard is no longer planning to arrive in Syracuse this week, according to the JUCO Football Frenzy Twitter account.

On Tuesday morning, the account tweeted that Edouard, a Class of 2014 prospect who already delayed his enrollment at SU, will now attend Garden City (Kansas) Community College. A text message to Edouard on Tuesday morning was not immediately returned.

Edouard’s initial delayed arrival was due to undisclosed personal matters, and the reason this time around is still unknown.

In September, Edouard told The Daily Orange that he would arrive at SU in January because he wanted a “fresh start.” Syracuse head coach Scott Shafer also said that he’d get Edouard into spring and summer practices to get him up to speed with the rising sophomores.

But the quarterback, who some said would be the most talented on the Orange’s roster, will no longer join SU. That leaves four signal-callers on the team in freshman AJ Long, junior Terrel Hunt, sophomore Austin Wilson and incoming freshman Eric Dungey.
