Syracuse safety Durell Eskridge will forgo his senior season and enter the 2015 NFL Draft, he announced with a message on his Instagram account Tuesday afternoon.

“Thanks to all my family, Friends and most importantly SYRACUSE NATION for the love and support over the past 4 years,” Eskridge said in his Instagram caption. “I love you all and I know you guys have my best interest.”

The junior is projected as a fourth-round pick by CBS Sports and is listed as the fifth-best prospect at his position. His departure leaves redshirt freshman Chauncey Scissum and freshman Rodney Williams as the projected starters at safety next year with the graduation of Ritchy Desir and Darius Kelly.

The 6-foot-4, 205-pound Eskridge ranked third on the Orange with 68 total tackles. He had one interception this season, a 29-yard pick-six against Notre Dame on Sept. 27.

Eskridge is the second SU junior to forgo his senior season in the last two years, after running back Jerome Smith did so last year.

The draft will be held from April 30 until May 2, and will be held at The Auditorium Theatre in Chicago.
