The field for the 2015 Battle 4 Atlantis tournament was announced on Friday evening during the second half of this year’s championship game, and will include Syracuse, among seven other teams.

SU will be joined by Connecticut, Michigan, Texas, Gonzaga, Washington, Texas A&M and Charlotte in the eight-team field. Four of those teams — UConn, Michigan, Texas and Gonzaga — are currently ranked in the Associated Press Top 25.

The quarterfinals, semifinals and finals will take place at Imperial Arena in Paradise Island, Bahamas from Nov. 25-27 of next year.

For its early-season tournament this year, the Orange played in the 2K Sports Classic and defeated Iowa in the third-place game after losing to California in the semifinals.
