Syracuse snags 3-star safety Fredrick’s commitment

Three-star safety Chris Fredrick committed to Syracuse on Friday, according to multiple reports.

The Cedar Grove (Ga.) High School junior is the second Class of 2015 commit on Friday. Sterling Hofrichter, a kicker, announced his intentions just hours before.

Fredrick is 6 feet, 160 pounds according to his Scout.com profile. He chose Syracuse over offers from Mississippi State, Old Dominion and Ball State, among others.

He is the 17th overall verbal commitment to the Class of 2015. Marquise Blair, who committed Monday, is the only other safety in the class. Frederick is the first player in the class from Georgia.
