Former Syracuse center MacPherson accepts Philadelphia Eagles’ mini-camp invitation

Former Syracuse center Macky MacPherson has accepted a mini-camp invitation from the Philadelphia Eagles, multiple sources have confirmed.

MacPherson started every game for his last three years of college, blocking for 1,00-yard rushers Antwon Bailey in 2011 and Jerome Smith in 2012. In his senior season, MacPherson served as a team captain and was named to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference second team.

He can also play long snapper in addition to offensive line.

MacPherson joins defensive tackle Jay Bromley (New York Giants), linebacker Marquis Spruill (Atlanta Falcons), Smith (Falcons), cornerback Keon Lyn (Indianapolis Colts), cornerback Ri’Shard Anderson (Tennessee Titans) and safety Jeremi Wilkes (Jacksonville Jaguars) as former SU players who have joined NFL teams this draft season.
