Bandersnatch concert featuring Danny Brown sells out

University Union’s second Bandersnatch concert featuring rap artist Danny Brown sold out Thursday afternoon, less than a week after tickets went on sale.

The concert sold out around 2 p.m., said Blair Shulman, UU’s booking director for the show. She added that there were 350 tickets available.

Shulman said it’s not uncommon for concerts like this one to sell out so soon.

“The indie shows and rock shows sell a little slower but usually we see a quicker sell out with rap shows,” she said.

Brown will perform April 2 in the Schine Underground. Doors for the show will open at 7:30 p.m., and music will start at 8 p.m. The opening act has yet to be announced, and Shulman said it’s because the show in Schine is part of Brown’s spring tour, which doesn’t currently have an opener.

She said UU is waiting to see who gets selected as the opening act for the tour, and then they will announce it to the public.

Brown’s performance will be the second show of the semester in the Bandersnatch music series. St. Lucia will play the first show on March 5.

“We’re just really excited about it,” Shulman said. “It’s going to be a high energy show and I’m excited to see how it turns out.”
