Robber steals SU student’s wallet, keys on Ostrom Avenue

A robber threatened a Syracuse University student with a knife and stole his wallet and keys early Sunday morning on Ostrom Avenue, the Department of Public Safety said.

The student was walking alone north on Ostrom Avenue between Marshall and East Adams streets when the robber approached him at about 2 a.m. The robber threatened the student with a knife — but didn’t show it — and demanded the wallet and keys, DPS said.

He was not injured.

After, the robber ran into Thornden Park.
