21 Pilots to perform in Goldstein Auditorium Oct. 3

Alternative pop duo 21 pilots will perform at Syracuse University’s Homecoming show this year.

21 Pilots will perform in Goldstein Auditorium on Oct. 3. Doors will open at 7 p.m., and the concert will start at 7:30 p.m. University Union will announce an opening act at a later date, according to a Sept. 3 UU press release.

Tickets will go on sale at the Schine Student Center on Sept. 4. Tickets will cost $10 for SU and State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry students. Alumni and faculty can buy tickets for $12, according to the release.

The Homecoming show is part of 2013 Orange Central, hosted by UU and the Traditions Commission, according to the release.

21 Pilots features Tyler Joseph as the lead singer and Josh Dun as drummer. The duo released its album “Vessels” earlier this year, helping spark its popularity. 21 Pilots was also spotlighted by MTV’s Video Music Award for its song “Holding on to You” — which reached No. 10 on Billboard magazine’s alternative charts, according to the release.
