ACC to play 2014, 2015 men’s lacrosse tournaments in Philadelphia

Syracuse will plays its first two conference tournaments as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference  in Philadelphia’s PPL Park, ACC commisioner John Swofford announced Tuesday.

The 2014 tournament will be played Friday April 25 and Sunday April 27 as SU and Notre Dame make the jump from the Big East July 1. Six teams will play in the conference next season as the two Big East schools join Duke, Maryland, North Carolina and Virginia.

The top four teams in the league’s regular season standings will meet in the semifinals the April 25, the two non-qualifying teams will play April 26 and the final will be played April 27, according to a release on theACC.com.

PPL Park is home to the Philadelphia Union of Major League Soccer and holds 18,500.
