Malik Brown flips commitment from Syracuse to Tennessee

Two-star defensive end Malik Brown has decided to play for Tennessee, not Syracuse as he originally said.

The 6-foot-3, 253-pound end from William T. Dwyer High School in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., originally committed to the Orange in December, and confirmed his commitment to SU multiple times, even after the departure of former head coach Doug Marrone.

Since committing to Syracuse, Brown has visited South Florida and the Volunteers, with the visit to UT coming on Feb. 1. He hasn’t visited the Orange since the coaching change, though he has had an in-home visit with SU defensive coordinator Chuck Bullough and linebackers coach Clark Lea last Thursday.

Brown is the No. 158 player at his position, according to Scout.com.
