Gulley, Crume, Davis out for spring practice

Running back Prince-Tyson Gulley, defensive tackle Eric Crume and linebacker Dyshawn Davis all have been ruled out for spring practice due to upper body injuries that required surgery, SU Athletics announced in a press release Friday.

All three players had surgery in early January, the release said. Their progress will be monitored throughout the rehabilitation process and their status for the 2013 season will be determined in June.

Gulley, a rising senior, was named Pinstripe Bowl MVP after rushing for 213 yards in Syracuse’s 38-14 victory over West Virginia.

Crume and Davis, both rising juniors, tallied 15 and 69 tackles respectively. Davis also pitched in 14 tackles for a loss.
