Datsik concert at Westcott Theater rescheduled for January
The Datsik concert at The Westcott Theater scheduled for Wednesday night has been rescheduled for Jan. 15, according to a release from The Westcott Theater posted on its Facebook page.
All tickets purchased for the Wednesday concert will be honored at the later date, according to the release.
Saad Al-Jadir, general manager for Datsik, confirmed the change of date in an email Wednesday afternoon.
The rescheduling comes after the collapse of a ceiling tile during a Dada Life concert Tuesday night, which injured at least three people.
In order to reopen the theater, the owners will need to submit an engineer’s report to the Fire Department, demonstrating the structural integrity of the roof, Alexander Marion, press secretary in the Syracuse mayor’s office, said in an email. As of 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, city officials had not received the report, he said.
